North Devon Hospice Night Walk9 - 10 May 2009 How's this for a challenge? Ali Hunt and the hard working team at the North Devon Hospice decided to do a little walk to raise a bit of money for the Hospice. Can WDR help? Now the best bit, It was overnight, and for Ladies only, walking between Barnstaple and Bideford or Torrington to Bideford, both ways simultaneously, along the Tarka Trail...Hmmmm! OK no problem, just a control station at each end at the two rugby clubs and Torrington Station, sweepers to walk behind the 1500 walkers, plus a series of stations along the route to keep everyone safe. Once again it was a brilliant night, calm, clear and perfect weather for the event. Well done to Ali and the team of supporters for all the hot drinks and food at the end and along the route. Many thanks also go to our colleagues from North Devon Raynet and the British Red Cross for their fantastic help on the night.
