   Recently the City of Plymouth and Cornwall County Council held a joint emergency services exercise to test the plans for a major incident involving passengers on the local car ferry between Torpoint and Plymouth.

    During the scenario, an explosion and fire in the engine room spread to the passenger deck and required the evacuation of the passengers to the local hospital and a rest centre.

    RAYNET was asked to provide the communications to back up the emergency services, and the plan along side gives some idea of how the various radio nets where set up between the various sites.
